I have been slow at populating this page because I have been working on the stories about our birds which you can find under Articles, or on the page called Meet the Flockers, but I will continue to add things here as they come up. If there is something that you need info on and can’t find it, feel free to contact me and I will do my best to help you and then hopefully add the info here to help people in the future.
Let’s start off with a simple one. I can’t tell you how many people have asked me about a bird and other than a description of suspect droppings, the only symptom was that “They didn’t seem themselves.” Since birds have a much faster metabolism than we do, the symptom can be a vital one. I get questions from all around the world, so obviously I can’t examine every bird. I’m not a Vet, but I’m seen so much in my 20+ years keeping chickens as pets that I can spot things that most people wouldn’t even notice. Videos help, but there is only so much I can do from my remote perch here in Pennsylvania. So, when the symptoms are nondescript, I recommend feeding a special mix of food that I have developed over the years. It has served me very well. Click HERE to go to the recipe page.
