PablosChair9(RH)(Web)Although I’m sure that there are some applications for constructing chicken attire that have far more comedic value than this, this suit is specifically designed to be worn by a chicken needing to be in a wheelchair. It has a built is loop for the seat belts and uses velcro for ease of putting and taking off for cleaning. This video will show you how to put the suit on your bird.

I started out with the cuff of an old pair of pants. I also used sew on velcro.

I cut 2 equal slits in it for the wings and 2 crosses near the center line for the feet to go in.

I ran a zig-zag stitch around the whole perimeter.

All of the velcro is also put on with a zig-zag stitch. Opening the velco puts a lot of pressure on the stitching, so it need to be secured well.

The seatbelt loop is just a small piece of fabric sewn at the top and bottom. It’s hard to tell from this picture, but the stitching on the right hand side is not sewing it to the piece below it, it is simply on the loop itself to keep it from fraying.
